A Street Space Adapted for the Natural Climate
This area is in the main street district of the EXPO'90 which theme is "the Harmonious Coexistence of Nature and Mankind." Based on the theme, we designed a main street that can accommodate a large flow of many visitors, provided resting places on the human scale with rich greenery along the street, and created a street space with a lively atmosphere. Regarding materials, we mainly used organic ones such as bamboos and logs, combined them with colorful cloths and shade trees, and proposed a comfortable lifestyle adapted for the natural climate.
